Our Mission

We believe that classical music is for everyone because it connects us to the world around us, to each other, and to history. It is a means of expression and celebration that transcends time and place, and defies our differences. Did you know that it is also a means of growth and development, as it can literally transform our brain composition? People need classical music because they need community and growth, and specifically, people of all generations and cultures need each other. 

At Knox Music Box, we have dedicated our lives to the study and performance of classical music, and we want to show you how you can learn to love it too. We will do this through: 

Passion: performing music we love with excellence, and inviting other passionate musicians to Knoxville

Engagement: engaging with our audience so that they can feel immersed in and connected to what they hear

and Outreach: reaching underserved communities and audiences of all ages.
